I have a 1x1 gif on my myspace page, its hosted on my server, how can i tack visitors who access it?

I have added a hidden gif on my myspace page http://www.mysite.co.uk/dir/hidden.gif this gif is hosted on my server, everytime i check my server statistics there are no new referals or hits at all, i have had several people log on and refresh it with no new change, if i am not making much sense then can you please read this short article http://knowingart.com/?p=69 and explain how I can track the image statistics?

Tally Ho Amigo,I have my site monitored with 2 services I found through W3C a University computer project.Everything I have used so far has really impressed me.The service with "www.InternetSeer.com" costs $99.95 a year for monitoring.But if you agree to answer a couple questions they give you a year free.

What you probably could use is the traffic monitoring linked w/ the former,at www.enterurl.com.There is some HTML entry,and they also request a file copy of your site.This isn't exactly free either.They do give you a free trial w/o asking for credit card info,so it seems righteous enough.The list of things it can tell you is more then you could dream up.
