Okay so my best friend DJ and I recently started dating. He told me that he really likes me as a friend but also said he didn't want to breakup and he wants me and him to be together.I just want him to be happy. I live in Nederland, CO and he lives in Morrison, CO so we only see each other about 5-8 days every two weeks. People keep telling me that hes to old and people keep telling him that I'm to young. I think that its total and complete bullshit because if we are what each other wants then why would it matter? We are best friends and just cause there is a slight age difference I dont think it should mess anything up, right? Well please tell me what you think. Much love;)

Age is just a number. It shouldn't matter. And if you two like each other and are comfortable with the age difference and seeing each other every two weeks, then why care what the other people are saying. If you two feel that you are what the other one wants, then what the other people are saying shouldn't matter.

First of all, don't listen to other people, they don't know what makes you happy. Second, age is a number that says how old you are, not who you can date. My husband is 41 and I'm 24, we have a great marriage.
